As a Kings fan I was bummed that Carter couldn't play but I was thrilled that not only was there a team for Kopitar, he was the captain of that team.
That's when I started to care about the WC tournament.
Since then, I believe there have been many terrific performances by a bunch of players who, if this thing was a traditional 8 team international tournament, wouldn't be playing.
So, assuming at least there is a Team Slovakia so that rules out Slovaks, who are other significant players who play for TE or TNA who wouldn't have made the tournament without their gimmick team?
I figure many younger Team Canada players and the other seven non-Slovak European players...
...I have a feeling it will wind up being a who's who of players who have amazing/impressive performances in the WC so far!
