I've wanted to see what Gibson could do on a better team. If Anaheim takes 50% (which they likely won't) I'd listen.

Always wanted Gibson to come back home but the idea I had in my head was the Pens fire Sully this past summer, get Gibson for Jarry ++ and he bounces back with the new coach and a Pens team with more youth in the line up. Yes, the question becomes does Carolina want to plan on Kochetkov / Nedeljkovic next year? If not, that is a $1.35M cap hit to bury Nedeljkovic.

If they are making a multi-year move I think they aim higher. If they make a single year move it could be anyone with equipment.

Ned is definitely not the answer but Canes do need to do something here. Already 2 or 3 games have been lost this year because Martin was in net instead of Kochetkov or a competent goaltender. Canes are scoring consistently this year but can’t outscore this problem every night especially against good teams with good goalies.

The sooner they find a solution the more cushion they can add to their point total
