As for the question, Stalberg should never have sat in the first place. There are lots of reasons to play him, but to me the most compelling is that his speed allows him to get on top of opposing defenseman on the forecheck and create lose pucks which is exactly where Wings are most vulnerable. If Q wanted to send a message he could have bumped him to the fourth line, but to not dress him was questionable. What do you think?

I think we need his speed. We're the favorites, but Datsyuk and Zetterberg are proven playoff performers, they have the best goalie, and we need speed to beat the Wings.

Off topic: Some Hawk fans think Toews will win the Selke, but this is not 1983 when Bobby Clarke won it. Datsyuk and Toews were nominated, but in this era it usually goes to more defensive forwards. Although he won it last year, I think Bergeron will win it for the 2nd year in a row. What do you think?

No accounting for pure, raw speed. A player with top 6 six speed playing on the 3rd line like Stalberg is a bonus the Hawks should take advantage of. Say what you want about Carcillo...admittedly, he wasnt very good....but he was out there showing something most of his teammates were lacking......heart.
