He is a big bodied 20 goal scorer.

Marner is pretty good but they have a lot of pretty good skilled guys. Nick Paul is the straw that stirs the drink in Tampa and knows what it takes to win. Team Canada is a big milkshake with no straw to stir it or hit USA players.

If McAvoy knows he has to answer to Nick Paul, no way he touches Connor McDavid. Did you see Tkachuk clearly pick out the easiest guy to fight in Hagel? I love the Tkachuk brothers but Paul is such a strong fighter that even Keith would have been cheering him on as he pummeled Matthew.

I understand that skill can be enticing with all the advanced stats Rorschach charts posted on Twitter, but things could have gone differently tonight if Paul was on the ice.

I've said my piece.

Did you watch the game tonight?

Seriously asking because they need more skill, speed and pace and Nick Paul is about 50th on the list of standby canadian forwards.
