Wearing out his welcome on his first 2 teams wasn’t enough to let his issues go on his 3rd.
Why would you think he would change this time.
I mean.....what in that article I linked to say that would give any team a reason to pick him up?

- Gambling and walking out on the debt.
- Abuse of women.
- Bullying.
- Charged with trespassing and separate non-criminal violations of disorderly conduct and harassment.
- Coercing a woman he got pregnant to get an abortion with a promise of money, then vanishing.

Does this sound like the addition the Leafs need?

Why don't we sign Slava Voynov and the wife he used for a punching bag too - while we are at it?

I don't want someone as terrible as him to join the team TBH. He's a bad guy and would bring a lot of distractions to the team.

I don't know that this team is mature enough to deal with a guy with that much baggage. The media alone would be problematic.

Whether or not he actually did all of the things he's been accused of, the fact remains that he was run out of multiple cities. Not what the Leafs need.

Kane @ 50% for lets say Ritchie and something else if they want to just get rid of him is interesting, but they will never go for a player like Kane. Has shown on two teams now hes a cancer.

I don't think he's a "bad guy", I don't believe in this "good or bad"shtick, it's just that a load of BS! We are all capable of doing great things, and just as capable of doing horrible things as well, all of us fall under the "grey category" as far as I'm concerned. I think Kane went through a lot of f_cked up things as a child, and those traumas coupled with mental illness have played a large role in things, it's clear to me the guy has never gotten whatever issues he has dealt with.

As for Kane being on this team? Hard pass.

antonio brown wasn’t a locker room cancer. The Steelers didn’t want to pay him. He wanted to be traded, they traded him to Vegas out of spite and he did what he had to do to get out of there. His whole plan was to end up with Tom Brady.

completely different situations

He got cut from the Pats while Tom was there because he couldn't shut up.

It's only now that he's shut up

LOL, no he was cut from the pats because of a lawsuit for assaulting one an employee of a moving company and also accusations of sexually assaulting a trainer. Had nothing to do with anything he said

Yep. This is not the type of personality profile that will respond to introspection or a few therapy sessions. Unfortunately, he is on the more serious end of things, mental health wise.

Think about how much this dude would get eaten up by the media. They would feast on him at any chance they had. Theres so much ammo against him. It would just cause headaches.

Kane isn't even employable in the NHL anymore. No team should want that piece of shit anywhere around their players.

Here are the news articles on him when you go to his page in TheScore app:

Kane reassigned to minors
Kane passes waivers
Kane waved by SJS
Kane issued 21 game suspension for violating Covid 19 Protocols
Kane not on Sharks roster pending investigation
NHL investigating Kane for alleged use of fake vaccine card
Kane not participating in Sharks camp as new investigation opens
Kane confident he will be cleared of gambling accusations
Sharks tried to trade Kane, teammates don't want him back
Sharks Kane denies wife's accusations that he threw games
Sharks Kane filing for bankruptcy was a big weight off his shoulders
Sharks Kane plucks 3 apples in win...

12 stories (and I even left a few duplicates out) before an article that was written about him actually playing hockey....

I think the Leafs should sign him and here's why:

1) I don't think we're good enough of a team right now to win the cup. If we add Kane and he plays well and doesn't cause any negative externalities, I think it makes us much more legit contenders.
2) We're super weak on LW. We will not be able to find another LW of his caliber for anywhere near the price we're getting (assuming 50% retained).
3) It's a gamble. He either might not play very well or he might cause problems in the locker room that makes the overall team worse. But, he also might be a legit first line LW who would compliment Matthews and Marner and make us a much better team... and there might be no negative impact on locker room dynamics. Kane - Matthews - Marner could be a real goal scoring machine and probably the top line in the NHL.
4) Is some of the stuff he's done or been accused of doing pretty shady? Yep. Doesn't sound like he's a good guy. But the only question we should be asking is: Does trading for him increase or decrease our chances of winning the cup? On the balance of probabilities, I think we have a better chance of winning the cup with him on the team.

If the Leafs want to shake their "pretender" reputation then I don't think they should acquire a guy who pretended to be vaccinated

That's like saying 9/11 was a few bumps and bruises, and is a slap in the face to all his victims.

Maybe considering to trade for Jake DeBrusk with a higher price tag than trying to buy low on Kane who already have negative impacts to his original team.
