Post-Game Talk: Sharks lose Game 4... series tied at 2

Has anyone watched the SportNet feed for the game? There was a point where they showed Jumbo talking to Kane and Kane skated away. Announcer said "idk about that but if Jumbo is talking to you, you don't skate away." I think Jumbo was asking Kane about his stick. Not sure what was going on beyond that.

Meh, they’re good friends, I’m sure it’s fine.

They showed it on NBCSN and Patrick Sharp said something to the effect of “I’d let Jumbo touch my twig”.

Pierre was saying it had to do with the whip/flex in the stick, and jumbo was trying to tell Kane to fix it so he could score more. But he may have been sarcastic and may have not actually known what they were talking about. Whatever it was, it didn’t look like Kane was having it, but I think Thornton was just f***ing with him.

Thornton was trying to grab a hold of Kane’s stick to show him something but Kane kept pulling it away from jumbo each time jumbo reached for it. If you watch closely, when Thornton finally grabbed Kane’s stick in a “haha got it” way, Kane kind of smirks and so does jumbo.

Yea, I wouldn't bet on it being more than Jumbo trying to loosen Kane up. I could imagine with how he's performed and everything he went through this season, he's stressed and not in the zone.

@WTFetus By saying they didn't have any reason to play hard... So far this playoff they've shown that other than game 1s, they don't typically play hard unless a loss will put them down in a series or it's an elimination game. Of course they "should" play hard, but from what I've seen they really haven't. This game however I believe they gave a pretty honest effort to go up 3-1 in the series and they just had some bad luck that allowed the Blues to tie it 2 games a piece. Like I said elsewhere I think Braun is the Blues leading goal scorer this series...:sarcasm:

My thought as well. They showed them talking a few times and Kane was smiling. I think Jumbo likes to keep the boys loose on the bench from what I've read.

wasn't it the other guy (Jones?) that said that? I didn't think it was Sharp...

Pierre or whoever it was made that up, he didn't actually hear the conversation. He was doing a Bad Lip Reading thing...

Well, I am hopeful that a fresh Ryan and Heed will provide a boost to this team. EK looked broken in the third, not quite as bad as the Boston game but he is injured, not hurt at this point and that is a liability.

I thought we’d get crushed this game and that the boys would phone it in. Sucks to lose but I’m glad that didn’t happen. The home cooking will be nice, I know it brings out the best in Hertl and we need a little more out of him. You also have to think pucks are gonna start going in for Timo at some point.

We should keep in mind that St. Louis best the Winnipeg Jets. One of the premier teams in this league. The Blues are not a bad team.
It’s a series of attrition. I believe our boys will find that extra gear. That’s what we have that they don’t, they simply hit more.

Go Sharks!!

Was at the game last night. Minus the first 15 mins, Sharks were clearly the better team. That said, I was frustrated with some of the reluctance to shoot and get pucks on net in the OZ. Lots of cycle time, but not many shots. After a game where Binnington gave up 5 goals, felt like we took it easy on him in not peppering him more.

This has bothered me the last 3 games really

kane needs to get his crap together, we dont pay him 7 mill just to skate hard. would be cool if nyquist could make a play also
