Dude should come over here to have his chance at the cup. Many here would oppose to it, but personally I'd love it.

He had his shot two seasons ago and the dimwit chose mediocrity.

Shane is definitely one of those types of players you hate while he is on another team, but would love him if he were on the Kings.

No freaking way, Doan is one of the dirtiest players to ever play the game.

Total Dirt bag.

I thought this would have come from his daily journal entitled "all my most special thoughts and feelings" by Shane.

Those Kings!

Dear diary, today I was just thinking about those low down good for nothing cheating Kings and how smart it was of me to let them know just what I thought of them when I was in the handshake line at the end of the series.

They (sniff) were so mean (sniff sniff) and unfair to me (sniff sniff sob) and my teamaaaaawaaaaa waaaaaaaa waaaaaah. I will be back to journal later.

I'd LOVE to have Shane Doan be the next Simon Gagne, Willie Mitchell, Marian Gaborik, or Robyn Regehr type of guy chasing a ring. That being said, I would not want him if he would cause any tension in the locker room given our history against the 'Yotes.

Ok, we'll make sure to have him write "I will not cause any tension in the locker room" on the chalkboard 100 times. :p:

Quite a candid response, you don't expect to hear a rival praise the team, doan went up in notch in my opinion.

Honestly **** him. Don't need or want him. He's proven he would rather play at home on a crap team than to be a winner.

I would not want to see Doan on the Kings.
A player that I hate because they are not a King would be someone like Toews or Stamkos.

There's something very special about a team that a rival can talk about them openly and at length like that. We really are in a golden age right now.

If Doan were to come here, I probably wouldn't like it at first, but I would judge on how he plays. Bygones would be bygones if he were to put on the LA jersey. Lots of players have been traded to teams with some previous animosity present.

...plus we beat him handily in 2012. It would be worse the other way around.

I don't want him, really. I don't like him and I don't think we need him. There isn't a player in our Top 6 I'd exchange him with. But I'm a Kings fan and if he came here I'd cheer for him. I guess I'd be okay with it as long as he took a pay cut and we stuck him on the Bottom 6 somewhere; he'd be good there as long as he cut the whining.

His post elimination mantrum showed the kind of character he really has when the chips are down. I used to think he was a great role player with solid skills but that guy wouldn't fit in our locker room at all with his nonsense.

He is a perfect fit in Az.

Listening to this interview, it almost sounded like they were talking about the New England Patriots. Doan said the Kings can play a variety of types of games - fast, heavy, etc. Whatever type you don't want to play, the Kings will. I'm not a huge Belichick fan, but that's what he does in the NFL. The opposing team can't stop the ground game, he will run, run, run. Can't cover the tight end, Brady will keep passing to Gronk. Weak corners, here comes the deep passing game.

In this year's playoff run, the Kings are able to do the same. You want to play up tempo, no problem - Kopi, Carts and Gabby will out score you. You want to try a low scoring game - Quick and our defense will shut you out. In fact, this series with the Rags is a perfect example of that. I'm sure they thought game 3 was going to be more of the run and gun pace. Sutter changed it up and rolled out the 2012 shutdown model.

Which Kings game will we see tonight? Who knows and the great things is the Rangers don't know either.
