Jarvy and Svech run the singles game in Raleigh. He lets Svech fish while he hangs out at the bar and catches strays. Says Drury is good as well, because his Harvard education has him able to lie on the spot like no other.

Slavin has the best hand-eye coordination he's ever seen. Demoralizing to go against him in practice because he shuts everything down.

Its unfair that Skjei is so good at everything. Hockey, golf, and he's incredibly good looking. Just not fair, and he's having a sneaky good year.

Guentzel is constantly giving him shit about his next contract "as if he's not going to be asking for $11m". And then they all proceeded to joke about how the Canes only give shit deals.

Necas has the best skill on the team. Says he tries to dogwalk defensemen every game just because he can, even in situations where its not needed because he enjoys it. Expects him to be a 40-50 goal scorer on the regular during his career.

Has never thought about doing the lacrosse move, because he would likely toss it to center ice if he did. Svech gets away with it because he just pretends to be dumb Russian who can't speak english if it doesn't go well and he gets scolded.

Said his biggest offseason work is rim-work and puck retrieval. Wants to make sure he's really good at that, because if you can make a move when the defense is closing on you, you're bumping out for easy 2 on 1s and should collect 10-15 more secondary assists a year. Also working heavily on his backhand to be stronger there, so he can make more passes without coming to the forehand, just to be a bit quicker with the puck.

Couple other things I missed

He is scared of the Burns coffee. Says everyone he's seen who has tried it ends up shitting their insides out about 5 mins later

He also developed a rep on the team because he would use some kind of green cream on his legs after games to help them heal, he doesn't even know what the shit is, and it would always come off in the hot tubs leaving a film behind. Said he's better at keeping it clean from now, but knows the rep is probably there to stay.

Also, Skjei calls him Tons of Fun, because BS thinks he's gotten fat, lol

the podcast hosts were the ones commenting/joking on the Canes giving shit deals and doing the "bergeron" thing where they won't pay anyone more than Aho is making, etc. Jarvis wasn't even joining in on those jokes at all. His only comments were that he and Guentzel give each other shit about who is going to take more of a hometown discount, and one of Jarvis' retorts is that Jake would be asking for 11+

Nothing is concerning in a podcast interview where the hosts put him on the spot. If anything him saying the guys in the locker room talk about taking a hometown discount could be somewhat encouraging

I am surprised more wasn't said about RBA, sounds like Aho is a bigger leader in the locker room than we figure.

It is encouraging though that JG is talking extension with the other guys, he must like the team.
