Playoff issues were the only knock on him. Any argument is gone. Cup, Vezinas, even under the impossible old standards, he'd be in.
Columbus Blue Jackets Acquire:Sergei Bobrovsky · $900,000 | Philadelphia Flyers Acquire:2013 4th round pick (ARI - #103 - Justin Auger) |
MAF is not a HOFer, no where near Bobrovsky's level. There's people on this site who believe MAF is a lock so in he is, then there's no reason why Bob isn't. Both have a finals victory and loss as starter. Two losses for MAF. Bob has double the Vezinas and an extra nomination.
He is probably in the HHOF and the argument between him and Bob is closer than you think.MAF is not a HOFer, no where near Bobrovsky's level.
MAF got carried by the Pens to a cup win and then really did nothing notable in his career besides one vezina and being average on good teams.
One of the top 3 goal tendernders of the last decade = Hall of fame. I would not say he on Roy's level though.2 Vezinas and 2 SCF appearances
I would say he’s likely the second best goalie of the last decade only behind Vasy
MAF will make the HOF for the story. To coming up with Crosby, the finals runs. To then becoming a playoff liability and behind Matt Murray. Then goes to Vegas on a hyped new team and leads them to the finals. A lot to talk aboutMAF is not a HOFer, no where near Bobrovsky's level.
