He had good seasons during the first three seasons of the Quinn era. His 1998-99 season was the best of them. He led the 1998-1999 leafs, the highest scoring team in the League that season, with 37 goals, 6 ahead of Mats Sundin in the heights of the dead puck era.

His 37 goal season was solid. Looking at stats, he was the 13th highest goal scoring that year. Right there among other scorers like Robitaille, Naslund, Demitra, Kariya, Tkachuk.
