I believe there was already a thread about this. I know for sure it's already been discussed.

Until the lottery happens and the pick is made by Colorado it is relevant point of discussion.

The website also tracks statistical information on the Sens and has a thorough timeline of Sens recent events.

An excellent resource for Sens fans that I feel is worthy of a thread.

But this team is more exciting this year and they aren't be held hostage by their egomaniac generational defenceman anymore who doesn't like to practice. And you can't forget "WE ARE A TEAM".

They do deserve that but I can’t hope for it.
Totally fair, I like him too.

At this point, i want it for him too. All vitriol aside, this is exactly the kind of guy that should be competing in high stakes games and best case scenario here is realistically 3 years from that, and that'll be bubble team when they do start competing.

I'm hoping he lands on a team I like. Flames, Jets or Nucks.

If the Sens win the draft lottery, man, that would be the exclamation point on everything - watching Sakic take the stage and make that pick. Of course, since we are the submissive bottoms of everything with Dorion as our general manager, it would probably come complete with Sakic congratulating whatever team Duchene just won the Cup with lol....

This website and thread have aboultely nothing to offer Sens fans, save for endless wallowing in what’s done.

Welcome back Sensung.
So none of this Sens related info is pertinent?

If Stone is traded to the Jets, it will become much easier to make the Jets as my #1 team.
Agreed.

After over 20 years, maybe its time to just make the conscious decision to move on to another team with a future. I've had the idea of offering everything Senators that I own up here for the first responder, I'll ship it off to them and never turn back. I'm having a son soon, so I could save him a lifetime of heartache too lol.

No, none of it is interesting, unless you’re endlessly searching for ammunition to bash the team, owner, and fellow Sens fans with.

We all know how bad this season has gone for us, we all know we’re siting at 31st in the league, I don’t think anyone needs to read through a website and thread to see why that is, but hey, maybe that’s just me.

We know we don’t have next year’s first round pick, and we know it looks to be a good one for Colorado. Tell me, what exactly is your block of stats adding? Which part of any of that is “interesting”?

You in particular have revelled in the team’s failures all year as you’re hoping that EM is hurting, which is all that matters to you. This is just more of the same, but you fail to understand that not all fans here get excited over miserable news. A thread like this serves no purpose but to provoke fans and should be locked.

Whether some like it or not, some of us find the failings of the team a much more interesting subject than getting excited about the next round of players to develop and sell low on when they want their fair pay or a decent team to play on.

The thing about these horrid aggregate team stats is....you take out Stone's +15 and even Duchene's 0, move everybody up a rung and.....omg this team could be horrible next year!

I think it all starts with the softest defense in the league, losing way too many corner battles and not even breaking even in front of their own net. The other aspect has been a very poor 4th line and Tierney and Boedker being overmatched in their roles - great acquisitions Pete Dorito.

This just shows that money wasted on past errors - Ryan, retain on Phaneuf, etc., plus spending well below the cap, if made available to upgrade to a steady 3-4 defense and add a few character 3rd/4th liners would hugely upgrade the current roster to middle of the pack. Batherson/Formenton/Brown filling in the depth on the cheap and Wolanin proving to be a solid NHLer and this team could be very interesting if we just retain what we have and let time take care of the deadwood. Even if you just move out the underperforming players and do a better job with that money, 3 good players plus some cheap rookies is better than 5 guys who can't do their jobs on the roster.

Of course, El Cheapo chooses to move out the elite talent and rebuild, and the next batch to emerge will be sideswiped once again by no investment lack of depth until they are expelled in the next rebuild.

For me it's not so much interesting as it is the absolute current reality, those denying it appear to lack critical thinking and understanding of the current situation or are being knowingly ignorant of it, I do admire the stubbornness of arguing a very clearly losing argument though.

No one is denying the current reality. We're all aware of where our team sits in the standings. What I don't get is the constant whining that goes on here.

The only thing real fans can do when their team sucks is stick with them through the dark times... or as many here have already done is cut off all support. But then leave... stop whining about it and stop celebrating the misery of the Ottawa organization.

This thread is all about a Colorado first round draft pick, that they obtained in a trade.

It's Colorado's draft pick, no one else's.

BUT, there is vocal minority of Senator fans, who post here in this forum, who can't stop whining and complaining about the past, and imagined trades in the future, that have not even happened.

They create threads to trash their targets they see worthy of their scorn, and hijack others into trashing these same targets.

Oh, and if you point this out, they'll target you, and label you as a supporter/appeaser/facilitator/working for the targets of their scorn ....... so watch out.

I would agree with you if this was normal sucking, but it clearly isnt. And I don't think anyone is really celebrating the misery... I for one just expect the worst at this point so all I can really do is sit back and laugh.
