I keep hearing rumours of Miller available probably untrue but it lead me to think of what the Sens could offer for Miller

Tkachuk for Miller straight up?

What do you think it would take from the Sens to get JT

Sens need to hang on to Tkachuk as their Captain and leader......

I can see the Canucks entertaining this:

To Vancouver: Tkachuk, 2025 1st, 2026 1st, 2025 3rd

To Ottawa: Miller, OEL penalty, 2027 6th
I could see the Canucks pulling the trigger here to be honest

Drinking and posting is not a good thing to do.

Disagree, personally.

But at the same time, this proposal is pretty bad.

I seriously doubt Miller is going anywhere in the first place, but even if he were...i don't think the Senators have the right pieces to make a deal make sense. They obviously wouldn't deal Stutzle for him, and there's nothing else that even remotely moves the needle enough to replace a 1C still in his apparent prime.

Even on the remote chance that they did consider moving Miller, there'd have to be at least a quality Top-6C if not 1C or potential 1C coming back. Without Miller...the Canucks 1C is Mercurial Pete and their 2C is like...Pius Suter (impending UFA and also lol) or Teddy Bluegers? That doesn't jive for a team trying to compete or even contend right now. Miller is also very clearly the emotional leader of the team...so that'd have to be replaced somehow as well.

It could have been a good deal for Ottawa in theory but Miller is turning 32 y/o at the end of the season, really something Ottawa can't afford.

No way I am trading a 100 point center straight up in this trade. Send add.
Why on earth would the Canucks do this

ok you guys are aware of aging curves, no?

Actually, it seems that not many are aware in this thread lol

There's almost a 7 years difference

This is a Gustavsson for Talbot type trade, the kind that Dorion made that actually slowed down the Sens big time
