While I am not the biggest fan of Premier Ford, he gained serious Brownie points with me yesterday.

With the Trumpster threatening a 25% tariff on us. Ford hit him back with "We will shut off the energy and raw minerals tap".

It maybe nothing more than a public show, but for a brief moment he showed he had gonads. And showed the rest of the world, we Ontarians have a set.

Now if only Scaramanga's Boy would follow suit.

What a joke… 45/47 makes an innocuous comment about possibilities …. And he gets the exact reactions he wants, and everyone are turning their cards up, on the table, so he knows where they stand.

Classic negotiation tactic, and our federal and provincial leaders fell right into it….. perhaps they should have read his book……

Monitor hack, if you don't need one for anything special go to the thrift stores. I got an older samsung 24' for 14$. Went to an estate sale and got another one newer LG, 27' for 30$. The one I actually bought for 120$ a 5 years ago is sitting on the ground.

What are you going to use it for
A bit of gaming but mainly to play poker, study poker stuff with the simulator. Watch media on it, and drop memes on HFboards.

Looking to jump from 1440p to 4k but reading about burn in on the Oled has me wondering what my best option is.

I sit in front of a screen sometimes 14+ hours a day so I'm not buying a cheap 60hz monitor but appreciate the advice.

I did say if it wasn't for anything special. 14 hours is a thing.

My LG is 100hz.

Whatever you get, BestBuy has the best deals with openbox if you don't mind waiting once you find a model you want

I've used Rtings and scouring a combination of other professional reviewers for all my display purchases over the years. It's not the be all end all, but it's at least mostly objective measurements and not all these ass paid youtube reviewers you see in most cases. I'm more of a TV/Projector guy though, so not much help with monitors.

Lots of people buy the small TV's instead too. Something like the smallest LG OLED I think is only like 40".
