Proposal: Sens - Leafs

What would you peg their value at individually, just curious for future reference.
Maybe "more value" was the wrong term as Mrazek should have value when he is healthy, just not much if any value to Ottawa

Brown (assuming you mean Connor) - At 50% this deadline should get a very similar return to Blake Coleman.
Nick Paul - At least a 2nd, good middle 6 guy with drive. Very cheap too
Anton Forsberg - Cheap backup goalie, shouldn't cost a lot

Thats fair. I think what I posted is probably the max the leafs could offer for both.

I think you'd have to add more for the Sens to take Mrazek. It's why it's probably better for the Sens to trade these guys separately.

Regardless of value (which I'm not entirely sure how to gauge), losing both Brown and Paul would turn our already piss poor forward depth into, well, something somehow worse. It'd basically be Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris, Batherson, and then a collection of 4th lines.

Has Brown played any LW in Ottawa? Would love to have him back.
Don't think I've ever seen him on the left side. That's like our only position of strength (Tkachuk, Stutzle, Paul, Formenton), meanwhile our right side is a ghost town after Batherson and Brown.

I don't think Connor Brown fills a huge need for the Leafs anymore and he'd likely cost more than they'd be comfortable paying.

I don't think the Sens are in a hurry to offload Nick Paul, but value wise I don't think a 2nd + a prospect would be far off for Paul and Forsberg.

easy no

mrazek has negative value to ottawa. sens have no reason to take a $4 mil goalie for another 3 years when there already paying murray $6 mil to sit in the ahl. not to mention it helps the leafs gain cap space when there not adding any good asset to get rid of him? makes no sense.

brown will easily get a 1st+ good prospect.
paul will get a 2nd
forsberg for some late pick or meh prospect.

engvall is a 4th liner and abramov is a meh prospect. Take out brown and mrazek/1st/abramov and that's probably fair.

Don't think you're far off at all.
TOR may have to retain on Mrazek though.

he's pretty off considering mrazek is a cap dump to sens and there's nothing good added to take him. he makes $4mil for the next 3 years. why would the sens take him even if he was retained down to $3?

murry is in the ahl right now but in 2 weeks he'll be back up and the sens will run murry/gusavfsson. there not going to send gustafvsson to the ahl to accommodate a $4 mil goalie they don't need. gustafvsson is the sens future goalie and is already looking decent.

Not to mention brown will easily get 1st+ good prospect. abramov is not a good prospect. Go look at the coleman trade.

Fair points, the prospects would have to be better and it'd be a sizeable amount of retention from TOR but definitely understand Mrazek is of no need for OTT

Forsberg has negative value to Toronto…even with mrazek gone he’s likely be 4th on my depth chart

brown and Paul (2 good, but meh players) isn’t enough to LITERALLY EMPTY our prospect pool (1st, 2nd, Amirov are 3 of the best 4 assets we got left)

I doubt the Leafs are trading Mzarek. Some good players but the Leafs aren't sending their 1A a first and second for that.
