Chevy put the Jets in no-man's land by not trading Scheifele, Hellebuyck, DeMelo, Dillon, etc... and trying to go for the playoffs.

That's not a roster that is going to contend, but it very well could sneak into the playoffs if Hellebuyck has another Vezina-worthy season.

I know every GM would prefer to make the playoffs than not, but renting the players listed above when you're not a legit contender just isn't smart management.
