As we have been doing since 2004, we simply use the old HF criterias for prospect eligibility (less than 65 NHL games and under 25 y/o).

Remember to vote based on all factors and not just if the prospect is more NHL ready than others. Overall skillset, hockey IQ, upside potential vs floor, age, stats, skating ability, shot quality, leadership qualities, size/strength, etc

Personally, I always ask myself, who would I draft BPA among these players?

Try to do some research on these kids, particularly the most recent ones. People are free to post links and videos about some of the prospects that should be voted soon, or even try to persuade others why a guy should be voted next! Spread info to help people vote.

Graduated players from 2023-24 (who are still in the organization) :

Ridley Greig and Jacob Bernard-Docker

To be added :

Kevin Reidler
Luke Ellinas
Tomas Hamara
Eerik Wallenius
Filip Nordberg
Lassi Thomson
Philippe Daoust
Theo Wallberg
Cole Reinhardt
Cameron O'Neill
Tyson Dyck
Jake Chiasson

This is where it gets tricky, I don't have enough viewings on guys like Eliasson, Stanley, Donovan or Bourgault to know if their upside puts them ahead of guys like Crookshank and Guenette who I think will both be at least cup of coffee guys as a worst case scenario.

Going with Merilainin, but I'm not confident at this point.

Dang, we're about to have 2 goalies in our top-6... goalies that are not really considered around the league

HFBoards TOP 20 Goalie Prospects Ranking #15
Most fans have no clue how to evaluate goalies, and that get exacerbated when trying to evaluate goalies in other teams' systems.

I wouldn't put much stock into us having two goalies in our top 6, or where fans of other teams rank our goalies.

Probably better off not putting any faith in either poll, but I'd argue that Sens fans know more about Sens prospects than HF Board fans writ large know about league wide prospects.
Probably, but any young goalie doing ok in the minors is basically a lock for top 10 when we do these polls. Glass, Guard, OConnor, all former examples. We hit a point in the polls where the remaining options are lackluster and default to goalie

At this point, I could hear an argument for Crookshank or Guenette as guys who'll play some games for sure, an argument for Donovan or Andonovski as OHL defenceman who are developing well for 5th rounders, an argument for Elliasson or Stanley as guys who are further away but have really intriguing tools, and an argument for Boucher or Bourgault as former high picks who - with one good season in the AHL - could shoot up this list. Plus the goalie, Merilainen.

They have both been in our system for a while and both have had some good moments in the AHL, so not surprised they will be a bit higher on our poll.

Plus our depth isn't great at this point, so goalies going early is fine.

Donovan and Crookshank will go soon.

I asked the OP to add Sogaard previously but I don't know, it's weird, it's like they think Sogaard was 24 years old or something

I also linked a Dobber ranking from January 2024 that had Sogaard 14th and Merilainen 39th

there are other guys similar age to sogaard, I might have the days off by a touch, but out of the guys at a similar age, only Wolf stands out,

That's pretty sad if that's the main reason to vote your 6th best prospect... (aka : your pool sucks big time)
He is under rated.

Good motor, good shot, but undersized, so he gets overlooked.

Leading B-Sens goal scorer and AHL all-star. One of the best g/gp in that league too.

Crookshank getting overlooked as usual.
