As we have been doing since 2004, we are going to use the HF criterias for prospect eligibility (less than 65 NHL games and under 25 y/o).

Remember to vote based on all factors and not just NHL readiness. Overall skillset, hockey IQ, upside potential vs floor, age, stats, skating ability, shot quality, leadership qualities, size/strength, etc

Personally, I always ask myself, who would I draft BPA among these players?

Try to do some research on these kids, particularly the most recent ones. People are free to post links and videos about some of the prospects that should be voted soon, or even try to persuade others why a guy should be voted next! Spread info to help people vote.

Graduated players from 2022 (who are still in the organization) :

Jake Sanderson, Shane Pinto, Mark Kastelic and Parker Kelly

To be added :

Filip Nordberg
Kevin Mandolese
Tomas Hamara
Hoyt Stanley
Matthew Andonovski
Owen Beckner
Vladimir Nikitin
Nicholas VanTassell
Nikolas Matinpalo
Oliver Johansson
Cole Reinhardt
Cameron O'Neill
Kevin Reidler
Tyson Dyck
Theo Wallberg

Also, leaving the link of pre-2017 polls if anyone wants to bookmark the page

Ouch, we have 2 goalies in our top-5... I mean it's a big sign of a weak pool

What's even more sad is that these 2 goalies are not even on people's radar among the league’s best goalie prospects

Already 12 voted... so imagine : they're not even top goalie prospects and they are among our best prospects

I wonder how long before people lose interest in this series of polls...

probably should visit the eligibility criteria

guys on one way contracts aren't really prospects
Assuming you're referring to JBD, Idk if one way status (only matters with regards to how much a player is paid while in the minors) is the determining factor, though he did (just barely) lose his rookie status, and is waiver eligible.

He's the same age as Sokolov, played 18 more NHL games, and fewer pro games, I guess you could argue neither are prospects, but there's still a chance both start the year in the AHL, albeit small.

I can't vote for some reason.

Can't find it anymore anywhere, I don't remember any criteria about 1-way contracts but I don't mind, I could remove JBD if people want. All it would do is make the pool even weaker.

Poll closed yesterday at 10pm, 2 hrs after launching. I'll see if I can extend it a bit otherwise maybe @Xspyrit can redo the poll

Edit: I was able to open it back up, but I can't set a time to automatically close it again. Not sure how long we typically want to keep the poll open for?

Usually atleast 24 hours. We have all summer. This can end in late August no problem.

Thank you.

Where is all that JBD love from the last poll? I know he has no Finnish.

Thanks maybe a couple days considering the summer time?

I usually always let them open for 2 days then it closes automatically. We could leave them open longer but I don't think it would change much, there's not a lot of votes after 24 hours...

Wait... It closed 2 hours after I made it? lol not sure how I managed to do that, could be the annoying ads (can't use the ad blocker here) making me click something I didn't want to

Good thing you could open it back

Ok, I set it to two days, there's a pull down menu to choose days or hours ect, you must have accidentally flipped it, no worries

Jarventie is the most interesting of the remaining prospects
Found a pic of him training

JBD shouldn't be ranked this high.

Probably a replacement level defenseman, maybe a decent bottom pairing guy, but not much upside beyond that.

Could easily find himself on waivers this year.

I voted for Boom Boom (been voting for him since #4).

JBD at #6 is pretty pathetic, he is a serviceable #6 or #7 at best. Jarventie has higher upside, but he is not a sure thing to make it as a regular NHLer either. Still, I went with the highest potential here.

Only Norris has a better (or NHL proven) one-timer in the org.

Down vote. And we should vote for someone that could realistically never see 10 NHL games instead I suppose.

It's a toss up between someone who's at best a #6 D or a forward who could bust entirely or end up on a weak team's top 6. I went with Jar-Jar.
