His net value is likely higher than the $150 million estimate that people have mentioned here.

He owns about a 25% of Mint Mobile and it seems like those net worth calculations don't include that.

If thats true, awesome. The deeper his pockets the better!

Yeah like he definitely wouldn't be able to buy the Senators alone, it would likely be a scenario similar to when Mario Lemieux owned the Penguins with billionaire Ron Burkle.

Reynolds would likely partner with someone (like Thomas Tull as mentioned earlier) and those two would buy enough of the Senators to own over half of it. Tull has a net worth of $2.7 billion, so those two together would be very similar to Lemieux and Burkle owning the Penguins.

I think those estimates usually underrate celebrities with significant business interests. I’ve seen some in podcasts say they can be way off. Though still probably doubtful he could buy a majority stake

I believe that, given any investments they have are probably out of the public eye.

Obviously some A Listers are known owners or partners of certain products/studios/production companies which makes it easier to gauge their wealth.

The family behind Minto is already in talks. Great development company they created. Existing strong relationships with the City, Province, and local developers and business.

Ryan Reynalds is perfect for the team, valued at 150 million personally. He can continue to run the team like Melnyk and the Sens fans wont have to miss a beat.

Speaking as a Sens fan - Reynolds is like coolest and top choice of any celebrity I can name off hand. I seriously can't think of a better ambassador for the team.

It would be crazy not to include him in an ownership group if your a potential buyer. Instant boost to the brand name and value of the team. Hes going to bring eyes and attention in a way that no other potential owner could. The hype would be unreal, especially if he did another documentary covering it.

thats what we said in 2011....

Canada has too many teams as well... the South needs more teams. Redistribute the Canadian Teams to Dixie
Not happening. Confirmed any buyer must keep the team in Ottawa. Ottawa is a historic franchise. Birthplace of the Stanley Cup. Getting a downtown arena is key.

Pretty damn good time to sell when the team is on the upswing, from a business perspective at least.

I've decided to put together my own bid, which will be a blockbuster that will pay $500 million over the next best serious offer. However, the Sister have to agree to accept my payment in some combination of Celsius, Luna, Terra, and Bitconnect tokens. Once the deal is sealed, I'll be looking to you guys for advice!

Can you say why so I know you aren't clutching at pearls, burying your head in the sand and hoping the Sens don't move?
Most likely political pressure from the Canadian government since Ottawa is the capitol, and the NHL probably wants a franchise there for the same reason, i.e., politigal goodwill. Recalling that it was only earlier this year that Bettman was having to play footsie with Trudeau about QC getting a franchise, finally telling him that it wasn't going to happen.

There's no chance that Reynolds has the money to be a majority owner, but anyone that does buy the team would be very smart to bring him in as a minority owner and a public face for the team.

Might even find a Sens jersey show up in a Deadpool scene.

Reynolds for his image and brand needs to vet the majority owner if he gets involved.

Don’t want to get involved with the likes of a Daniel Snyder of Washington Commanders, Sarver of the Suns, Richardson of the nfl Panthers, or anyone that has non hockey business that may be a blight on him. Aquilinis don’t have the cleanest business dealings for example.
