idk what's the big deal with 21-year old records. Breaking 18-year old records in men's tournament is impressive considering how much hockey has changed, but 21-year old is already a player that is entering their prime.
It's a Gretzky record - that alone is enough

Holy Jesus how ****ing slow and handedless Finland has been during the tournament.
It's a miracle we beat USA and advanced to semifinal.
No speed ( Same old farts like J-M Aaltonen,Pihlström, Savinainen,Pyörälä etc playing all the ****ing time)
No skill ( no game breaking talent and goal-scoring)
No discipline ( too much idiotic penalties)
No coaching ( Marjamaki can **** off.)
This Euro Hockey Tour hobby team should have get relegated.
Considering the "Gretzky" record for Nylander, you also have to consider Nylander missed a couple of games for the tournament.
So now the PPG's gonna matter again? #MvsL![]()
Didn't really pay attention on match ups, but only finnish line that got something done was Kemppainen/Aaltonen/Pihlström. They had several scoring chances, other lines didn't do ****.
Those go hand in hand. I've never heard of anyone gaining a more prestigious win over the lesser team
I always hold Nylander against Rantanen rivalry and now I can say that Rantanen has been maybe better for Finland than Nylander for Sweden cause of 8p from all 22 goals of team finland vs 12p from all 32 goals of team sweden.
You still got a chance for medal, it would take a bit of a miracle but sometimes the Russians lay an egg.

Well deserved win, though hardly something to be rated considering this Finnish team is a lot weaker than what they usually bring.
It's "Vita Hästen" in Swedish which would be translated as "The White Horse". The team was originally two different teams - IFK Norrköping and IK Sleipner. The two joined together, the new team being called IF IFK/IKS. Obviously that "name" didn't last long. It was changed to Vita Hästen as all the fans already called the team that. Why? Because the jersey was white and Sleipner was Odin's horse. Hence; The White Horse.
The more you know!
Always pros and cons playing as defensive as Finland do. They will struggle at times and perform really bad, but they also always got a shot. Tonight Sweden scored right away, the game is basically over. The game can look very different though if Finland gets a bounce and get the lead.
I like many Finish players, thinks Aho is amazing. Think Puljujarvi needs some time but will become a star. But Rantanen? Don't get the hype. Not with Kapanen either...

Not his best game but he is one of those weird Europeans who's game is better suited for smaller ice.
