Congrats Sweden. Deserved.

We played surprisingly well, but shot ourselves in the foot with THREE idiotic offensive zone penalties. You can't give that Swedish team much PP chances.

I'll be rooting for Sweden in the final! Not that I'd have something against Canada, but somebody HAS to be able to challenge them. We had no business doing that this year, so I hope you will.

Sweden deserved the win. They just had a way better roster this year, can't help that. Gg.

With that hard work and your best players Finland will be good in a best on best, it's important to know that Sweden also played their far and away best game today.

The defense has been a joke. The same turnovers have been happening since game 1 in this tournament and no one has done absolutely nothing about it. Without Säteri Sweden scores 10 goals easily.

Only one hockey team was on the ice in this game. The final will be a great one tomorrow.

Yeah, it's like back to the stone age. Modern hockey is all about speed, youth and skill, not sitting back passively waiting for the opponent to make the first move.

Marjamäki has probably got his hands on some old playbooks from team Sweden circa late 80's early 90's with their patented "styrspel". Only difference is that the Swede's were so much better at executing it and they had better players too.

Marjamäki's team Finland is going the way of the dodo.
Oh, c'mon. Given this year's material, there aren't much better options for a game plan. If that squad had more firepower, you might have a case.

Speaking of which, last year's team played extremely ultra conservative defense-first hockey as well, but I don't recall anybody complaining back then. Which is a pretty dead giveaway that most of these complaints about Marjamäki's playstyle is nothing but preoccupation.

At least there will be some challenge for Canada, but I have no doubt Canada will win again. The game Canada played against Russia in 3rd period was easily the best hockey I've seen in this tournament so far.

Thank you

Finland have some scary good young players coming and developing right now, future looking bright for Finland.

Game went pretty much as expected. USA crapped the bed in the QF and made us look a lot better than we are.

Reality is Sweden was just so much better.

This years team Finland sucks.

They picked Landeskog ahead of Bäckström for top3 player on the team. What a joke.

I think they just wanted to give Landeskog a mention because honestly he has had a really good tournament, if they did a top five Bäckström would probably have been ahead

To me there are 3 that are level above the rest, Bäckström, Nylander and Klingberg. It has been a huge different to this team espically in PP since Bäckström joined the team.

Sweden however loves mellanmjölk, and loves to praise those kind of players.

I'm not saying he deserved the nod ahead of Bäckström, but Landeskog has been a warrior in this tournament. It's just unfortunate that the offense of that line stopped clicking after the first few games.

Was pretty weird Marjamäki waited until 2 minutes left to pull the goalie, we were not behind by 1 but by 3. I guess he was asleep or something

Yes blablabla! Swedish NHL-Team beats a finnish Team with mostly players from europe. It s all in day s work!

Sweden as a hockey nation is finally at a point where our B/C roster is still made up of good NHL players, and that itself is an accomplishment. We just have that kind of depth now. I've heard a lot of talk about Finland missing Laine, Barkov, Granlund etc - admittedly great players - but Sweden is actually missing 10 of its 12 higest scoring forwards, plus Erik Karlsson.

Don't be so sure. Sweden plays an entirely different hockey than Russia. Russia has their forwards as their stars and the counterattacks, Sweden has their defense, goaltending and pressuring the ice, paired with some world stars offensively. Sweden still hasn't played perfect hockey. They still have a gear to go.

This is far from a sure win for Canada.

Yeah, Sweden has more players to pick from. Finland's pool is still pretty narrow. It's getting bigger though.
