Barbarian Canadians starting stuff after the whistle....

"Jättebra, we lead by two, now let's take the third easy so we are nice and rested tomorrow."

Nylander barely touches the puck on the PP... What's up with that?

The guy was a league leader in power play production in the NHL.

I don't understand why Aho's line plays so little, I swear I see Pihlström & Filppula more on the ice than our best player by far, Aho.

Going about as I expected.. Oh well, our team just isn't enough this year. Willie and Bäckström on roll and Finland taking a stupid penalty after stupid penalty.

Have to say it always baffles me why Willie gets so much praise for his looks.. Such a weird looking baby faced big headed mofo..

I have seen more from Landeskog - Rask - Lindholm today

The 3rd will require will and lots of energy. Finland looked completely gased in the end of the 2nd. Hopefully Sweden can keep pushing them back and keep them from getting scoring chances.

No kidding.
Grönborg: "Durr. Nylander, I think you should play in front of the goal on our PP, screen the goalie and deflect shots, because... you're big and strong and not that skilled with the puck. Durrrrrrr."

Putting the wrong player in the wrong place is Grönborg's calling card, which is why Sweden will never fully benefit from a stacked two-way D core as long as he's the coach. This roster and team should cater entirely to Nylander's, Bäckström's, Hedman's and OEL's every need, yet he's trying to make everyone completely interchangeable.

He seems to be a pro at it. It seems utterly bizarre to not take full advantage of the individual skills of the roster. I can understand having an overall system, coaches tend to in general. But don't just plug guys into roles they aren't suited for. That Swedish defense is amazing, but they don't get to do what they are best at.

Oh well. At least Sweden is overcoming the handicap of their own coach .

Our PP has become so much better since Bäckström join the team. It is Nylander and Bäckström that makes it forward among our forwards, but I guess the swedes will credit Everberg for a potential gold just like some credit Påhlsson for the olympic gold.

Klingberg has again been our best D-men in this tournament and in todays game, what peoples problem with him I do not get at all. He has the best stats and if anything he is much better than his stats when you actually watch him. He is a complete player and is a better player than Hedman and OEL. It is time to start showing him some respect, he most be one of the absolute most underrated player in the world.

Our defense have overall been good in this tournament, which shows as expected that offensive d-men can play better defense when they are giving that role. But you could wish for more offense from the d, but you can not complain about the defense.

If Sweden somehow fumble this I'll be frustrated to all hell. 26-11 in shots and 22-10 in face offs. This game is ours to lose...

But but...he looks like that child monster king of Westeros, Joffrey or something! He will have a long career in Hollywood after ice hockey in all kinda Prince of the Neighborhood kinda roles...

That's because he's another playmaker being used on the same PP unit as Bäckström, who was #1 in PP points. Nylander should be running the second unit instead of standing in front of the goal for tip-ins.

Well actually the Swedes got a penalty too. So its' gonna be 4 on 4.

It's always sad to see referees who can't see the starter but gives penalties to both teams. It is the ultimate humiliation to referee.

Strålman and Hedman have been our best D overall in this tournament imo. Hedman is not putting up points but he is playing good...
