Laine is a better goalscorer but outside of that, there isn't much that Laine is better than Nylander at.

Nylander is better playmaker, definitely a much better skater, plays more of a cycle game and will be a centre next season as soon as we trade Bozak.

That explains how Nylander had 11 more assists despite playing with either Hyman or on a shutdown line with Leo Komarov. Matthews and Kadri were good linemates though but he had more of a mixed role compared to Laine's purely offensive one
