If a Canadian player got an uncalled high sticked to the face very clearly... and then was given a 10 minute misconduct for a "late shot"... and then couldn't serve the misconduct due to getting stitches for the uncalled high stick... and so another Canadian player had to serve the misconduct...

Yeah... I'd be freaking furious. What a gong show.

Agreed. Now that they fully laid out the mystery, it is easily the worst call of the tournament...so far. Plenty of time for the officials to outdo themselves.

Finland deserves better.

I love how we're all fixated on the high sticking call but there's zero mention of the 3 goal blitzkrieg. That should be the real story of the game. Not a flubbed call.

Agreed on all accounts... just funny that some are saying it's okay to high stick if the whistle has been blown and the clock isn't ticking.

If that were the case, I'd instruct my players to crosscheck the opposing 1C before the puck drops.lol

Oh I bet the story will be about the Refs and not Canada being dominant in every facet of the game. Nobody has said that were losing because of the refs yet, and nobody will.

Addison had one hand on his stick and it rode up into the Finish player’s face when he knowingly took a shot several seconds after the whistle was blown. 5 on 5 was justice, but having another player serve the misconduct while the first was in the dressing room is dumb.
