Also this means nothing, but I once met him and a few other Kraken players at a bar in Kirkland. He's 100% not 6'1", he's like 5'10".

He was horrendous for every season of the contract. -57.7 GSAA in the 4 years with the Kraken.

I was shocked when it didn’t happen two weeks ago. Jarry got put on waivers instead.

He’s toast. I often times think of the 2020 version of Cory Schneider, but he’s probably as bad as the 2025 version of Cory Schneider, who doesn’t play anymore.

The idiots in Seattle should have probably bought him out last summer.

And at the very least the idiots shouldn’t have started him opening night and literally alternated between him and Daccord for the first couple weeks of the season.

And they announced that Daccord extension I think the day after the season opener? That extension had to have sealed Grubauer’s fate beyond this year. He shouldn’t have been given the start opening night on merit, when he lost his job already LAST YEAR to Daccord. So why were they alternating between him and Grubauer to begin with?

wouldn’t be the first time Disco Dan looked like a clown. Just the first time in Seattle.

Grier keeping Georgiev simply because he's bad enough to be on waivers and it helps the tank.

Possibly. Sharks just assigned Vanecek to the Barracuda for conditioning so there's a max of two weeks before he's back with the Sharks. By then, the break happens and they'll probably send Askarov down during that time. After the break is over, the Sharks have 7 games until the trade deadline and a playoff caliber Barracuda team that they may want Askarov down there to finish. They may keep him just to eat the games left after the break.

Not really true. Varly and Kuemper have been fine since they left.

5.9 for 2 more years. I think he's a good goalie who is struggling. But I wouldn't risk that much for him.

Is he a good (NHL) goalie? Kind of hard to say that when the other guy on the room has been a top 10 goalie the last two seasons behind the same team that you are putting up an 0.870 sv%.

I have always liked Gru... right from his OHL days. He was given nothing and had to battle the whole way.
