The return wasn't worth it. People dont trade for rentals the way they used to.

If we moved Kreider for a mediocre return we would hear the same whining that we do about the McD trade.

Don't give him any pennies.

I like him but he doesn't fit long term and he isn't a line driver so he can't be relied on against good teams in the top six. But he isn't physical enough or good enough defensively for the bottom 6.

Breadman got him paid this year. It shouldn't be by us

I know everybody’s upset that we got swept, but did anyone seriously think we were going to compete for the Cup? I’m glad we got swept. I don’t want anyone injured in this and now we have a non-zero chance of getting 1st overall and starting next season fresh and rested. Hopefully we get a good new D coach.

We have a good team with some really good pieces. Everyone was rusty and messed up. I’m glad we ended this quickly.

Anyone got the odds of picking either 1st or 8th? I think we need the Panthers to win one to help on 8th.

If we don't win the lottery and pick first, we would need Arizona, Minnesota, Montreal and Chicago to all win their play in rounds for us to pick 9th. That's the best we can do without winning the lottery.

Panarin and Z are in their primes. Svech and Aho are five years away from their primes with a young supporting cast in Teravainen and Necas. They’re building a franchise to last at least a decade. We have an incomplete team that will fight for playoffs and maybe win a few rounds over the next few years.

Thats the difference between drafting Aho in the 2nd round, and drafting Ryan Gropp.
