Philly is in an obvious rebuild/retool, and Leafs are a win now team. Scott Laughton could be a great add for our 3C moving Kampf to really hold down our 4C. Given Gio's pay cut - we should have some room.

Extreme longshot, there. I don't think he's being moved, but the most likely way he gets more than an A is if Hayes retires and Couts demands a trade.

Laughton is not a goalie last time I checked. He is a 3C and while I think he is better then Mien Kampf Keefe seems to love him as his 3C so don't see this happening. A smallish LHD with speed and defensive issues is not what Chucky is looking for. Don't see any sort of match here.

While that SHOULD be the case, the delusional Ownership/Management duo of Dave Scott/Chuck Fletcher think that getting back Couturier and Ellis and making a bunch of moves this summer is enough to make them into a Contender again. We of course know this is completely nonsense, but they don't, and so they're not trading Laughton unless it's with other assets for an upgrade.

Don't hold out hope; that's just the level of upheaval it would take for Laughton to be named C before Hayes.

OP is a Leafs fan. Philly fans not liking it either. Laughton will play lw3 or 4c if Frost holds the 2c job to push Hayes to 3c. Nothing wrong with his 3 mil pay

Sure for the flyers there's nothing wrong with it and that's fine. The leafs won't be giving up a young potential top 4 d though for the honor of overpaying Laughton.
