Was he in charge of the PP when he won a cup in LA?

Primary role was with the forwards and power play with LA - Same stats but LA:

19.9% (10th, 12-13)
15.1% (27th, 13-14)
19% (11th, 14-15)
20% (8th, 15-16)
19.1% (15th, 16-17)

16th overall in that timespan, Jets were 28th.

I'm bracing myself for similar numbers on both PP and PK - both really low.

Yes, I'm a pessimist.

Jets were 45/240 on the PP last season. It's crazy how one more PP goal every 8 games or so (10 more PP goals) in the same number of chances would put them in the top 10 in the league

Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do with the talent we have

Dean Chynoweth... thought that name sounded familiar... remember at the time when the NYI drafted him just 2 picks before Joe Sakic...

But, he's not here to play, he is here to coach, so hopefully these guys can help this team get better numbers.

Looks like he coaches to around the level of his talent on the pp. I imagine for us a mid level pp should be attainable.

I see this as great news. Arniel is willing to make the tough decisions. Lauer is gone.
Maybe now we’ll see some movement on both the pp and the pk.
