Interesting stat I heard today. For his career, in the regular season nearly 800 games, Lundqvist is roughly 100 games over .500, has a .920 Save Pct., and 2.28 GAA. In 67 playoff games, he's 7 games under .500, has a .920 Save Pct., and 2.28 GAA.

It's been obvious that the NYR have had their offensive lights turned out quite often in the playoffs. NJD, Buff, Pitt, Was, Was, Bos... each of those elimination series, we hardly scored at all. In my opinion the issue has been that we consistently have not had any scoring depth, one-line and done.

With a healthy MZA, and our current line-up, I really think this is the first season in a long time that we have multiple scoring lines in the playoffs. Depth is everything in the post season, and few EC teams have it. Fewer even that have a goalie that can put up those stats. And only one other that I can think of that has both of those and a truly solid defensive core.

Tons of things can change, but I really am optimistic for this teams immediate future.

We just added a career PPG playoff performer. We're better than we were yesterday on that department.

Yeah, I think our forwards are pretty good.

Production from the back-end is still a huge concern though. That's been a major area of weakness.
