Scheifele's Quest for 329 Goals.

It's strange to think that he's only passed the 30 goal mark (as of today), three times in his career, but he averages 31 per 82 games played over the length of his career.

He isn't exactly building a HOF resume thus far, with high consideration going to annual voting (awards) and such, but it's not too much of a stretch to think that he'll reach +475 goals and 1,200 points in a Jets uniform; at least I don't think it's a stretch. He still has 6 years left on his contract (not including this current season). He's sort of in line with Tavares for career averages, and someone like Pierre Turgeon who did eventually get in.

He's also great this year, and looks like he'll be good for the forseeable future. If the Jets make a serious run or two in the playoffs over the next few seasons, he's going to be a hard person to overlook once his career's done.

Even though Jets1.0 might not be consider the same franchise as the current Jets team.
I feel the rightful Jets franchise goal scoring record is held by Hawerchuk

I don’t consider Kovy a Jet
He was a Thrasher
It will be a great achievement when Schief passes Kovy
I think the real milestone Imo is Hawerchuk’s record
I will congratulate Schief when he passes Hawerchuk’s franchise record of 379 goals as a Jet which I have no doubt Schief will reach

Another season like this one and he reaches Ducky's watermark next year. With no more Thrashers left on the team, and the history of him being the first ever player drafted, coming from Dale Hawerchuk's team, as the organization announced their reincarnation as the Winnipeg Jets on the stage, I think that's the one that Scheifele would be most proud of.

Out of respect the Jets and the NHL will likely recognize surpassing Kovalchuk when it happens.

While we are still a ways away and anything can happen…
If he ends up with those goal and point totals.
That’s hall of fame worthy for sure.

It is really past due that the Jets 1.0 and 2.0 history and statistics get merged.

I maintain my opinion that if Kevin f***ing Lowe is in the hall of fame all bets are off. What a joke, its not suppose to be a team award. Dude was a good stay at home D man that just happened to be politically connected and land in Edmonton on draft day.

One of the worst inductees in history. Not as bad as Dick Duff, but close.
