No, it's always been like this. Due to development encroaching out to the absolute edge of where they can develop (i.e. right up against the 'glades), we get rain later in the day during the summer, though.

Asked my parents one time how they dealt with the insane heat when they were kids with no A/C and my mom just laughed and said 'we suffered.'
