Series Talk: SCFs Discussion - 2025 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS - BACK TO BACK BABY!

I barely noticed Barkov in the first couple games but he's definitely gotten better as the series has gone on.

Basically the opposite for McDavid though. Was buzzing the first few games against us but has looked very human these last few games.

That being said, I wouldn't say McDavid hasn't done much against us as a whole.. he's been their best player (definitely last year) and still still produces at an elite rate against us.

I tend to think being not that noticeable against the most offensively dynamic player in 30 years to be a good thing....

I get it, we want him to score more points etc. but keeping McD mostly off the scoreboard is a net win. Means the Oilers have to rely on non-existent depth.

McD is always going to look good and cause problems. Even Barkov will look silly against him sometimes. And yeah Mcdavid looked better early on, same last series. Point is to minimize the damage against and wear him down through the series. Let others do the damage for.

No way Bennett and Marchand have the same success they have now playing Barkov's minutes. Everyone has a role to play.

I’m not sure if it’s just me or a man thing in general but we are living through a historical moment tbh. Like it’s in our best interest right now to be unemotional and keep our head down and finish it out.

But 25 years from now you’ll relive the story of panthers public enemy number 1 Brad Marchand getting traded to us at the deadline and in wizard like fashion activating a line with two finnish players a lot of people have never heard of before. You’ll fire up YouTube on your glasses or in the chips implanted in our brains and watch his two unbelievable goals from last night 25 years from now and you’ll remember with so much sentimental feelings and pride what the organization accomplished in the 2020s and who you were and what you were doing on that June night in 2025.

We are living in historic days right now. Let’s close this out.

If all goes according to plan, that's our future 1C.

The year is 2050. Leonara McCrysaitl has willed the Houston Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals in their 10th year after moving from Edmonton. This would be the first Finals appearance for the franchise after a long 25 years that saw the team unable to compete after the economic collapse in Edmonton following separation from Canada. Die-hard Oilers fans from Edmonton have flown down to Houston

Standing in their way is Aleksander Barkov Jr. II after his fourth Selke leading the Florida Panthers looking for their seventh Cup franchise win. Game 1 has the 2023-2030 dynasty team dropping the puck and banging the drum. Barkov Jr. i, Reino, Tkachuk, Tkachuk, Verhaeghe, Bob.... A video tribute to the dynasty team has some with tears as they show Ekblad (may he rest in peace and be a reminder to not abuse PEDs). The crowd is electric after showing the 2030 Cup winning goal that bookends the dynasty.....

Whoever thinks this will end just like that in home without going to game seven clearly has not been aware
If any team could pull off the upset against an unfortunate long standing team tradition, it's these guys.

If they do lose the next two games, i will love these guys no less.

I say that because if they win one of the next two games they will be in the middle of a dynasty, and just to get to that point means everything against all we've dealt with with said tradition.

We are the better f***ing team, top to bottom, so I'm going with dynasty!
