One thing that is going to affect the Oilers as this series goes longer (I am expecting 7 games) is that their depth doesn't seem to be there. Holloway and Broberg were real losses for that team. Not to mention Foegele, who I thought was their best bottom six player last year.

Eh...don't think that's really a fair assessment. I didn't watch Game 1 and 2 live very much, caught most of it afterwards so maybe feels different watching knowing the result.

Game 1, it was actually line 2 that got abused. The Arvidsson goal that Barkov's line was on for was really more on Bob for letting that go in, wasn't a dangerous chance. Guess you could say Barkov didn't stop the pass in OT that led to the winning goal, but that was on the PP and he was there blocking the passing lane, it was just a great play and can't stop them all.

Game 2, not a great game from Barkov, but aside from the McDavid drag and then pass to Drai, hard to really fault him. He blocked the initial Bouch bomb, the first goal was a weird play mid line change, the last was an EN scramble.

Dude, I don't know what else I can say here. Me, personally, I think he did it in a weird way, that's it. I don't...like, what else can I say here lol. I guess I think a better way to have done it would be more public about it in advance, maybe even announce that he won't be joining the players in the handshake line, rather than push it on the other coach whose team just lost embarrassingly, it's naive as hell to think doing it the way he did it would somehow stay private, it's honestly ludicrous to think it would stay private.

Well I read a comment on HFOil that it's not us having better depth, it's just that they have skinner and their depth would be scoring just as much if Skinner was our goalie.

We’re paying Bob 10mil a year to be our starting goalie. Not our fault they’re stuck playing goalie roulette to see what version of Skinner is showing up. I just can’t take the excuses from them anymore.

Start strong in game 4 and force them to fight their way back into it again. It’ll start to wear them out.
