[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Obviously, I just don’t want the puck to go in the net. I was just trying to do whatever I can to stop it.
After I push it back under him, I just don’t know where it’s going or what’s going to happen, so it was kind of a lucky play.
I knew I couldn’t put my hand on it, so I just used the side of my glove. The ref was right here. He did a great job of being on top of it and being able to see it.
- Derek Stepan

I want to get it back over to Johnny. The wood part broke right where the stick starts.
All I could kind of do is shake my head and laugh when I get to the bench, that’s all you could do. It wasn’t like I got a slash to the stick and the stick broke.
I’m kind of getting sick off what’s happening right now.
- Dan Girardi

Well, I felt good tonight. I must say, I felt pretty good in every game. It’s just tonight, we had the bounces.
We talked about it the first couple games where, you know, especially against this team, you need that little extra puck luck.
They play a lot around the net, a lot of deflections, screens. Sometimes it’s going to hit you and sometimes it’s not.
You have to keep telling yourself you’re doing the right things. So that’s what I did. Going into this game, I didn’t want to change anything.
I just tried to go out and compete. A couple close calls. But when you play this game, you have to battle, but then you have to rely on your teammates.
Sometimes you have to rely on some luck.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I've been in the game a long time to know that sometimes the hockey gods are there. They were here tonight.
- Alain Vigneault

BELIEVE.

.

I believed after Game 3, and I continue to believe now…

Lets Go Rangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rangers

On Tuesday, a Reverend came by my shop to buy something. I asked him if he can give a little prayer for my beloved Rangers before Game 4. That when pretty well. I will call him later and ask him again to do the same for Game 5. I am trying to anything for our Rangers to win. ANTHING!!!!. LGR !!!

Last game the Kings played their best and the Rangers their worst. You have to imagine this game can only be better. Henrik will still need to be Henrik.

Make them sweat, men!

Hopefully we see a little better of a performance from Girardi, looks like the man has been playing injured. Kings will be trying to take advantage of that. Shut down their shots like in game 3 and capitalize on the chances we get and this will be headed back to the Garden. Lets go boys.

All I know is I went to Mister Wright and got a decent amount of wine for this evening.

I'm gonna need it!

We were down 3-1 against the Pens, but got it done. So why not do it again? :)

Just focus on tonight. The only thing that matters tonight is this game. **** the series, for now. 1 game at a time. Win tonight, repeat the process after that.

Few things on my mind:

1) The negative - AV's Presidents Trophy winning Canucks fared similarly against the Kings 2 years ago.

Game 1 L 4-2
Game 2 L 4-2
Game 3 L 1-0
Game 4 W 3-1
Game 5 L 2-1 OT

LA bounced back after the one loss.

2) The positive - The Rangers are winning the odd-numbered series' without trailing and the even-numbered series' by trailing in a big hole. Their first odd series they didn't trail but still allowed it to go to 7. Their second odd series they improved and gave themselves a little bit bigger of a cushion. Their first even series they lost 3 in a row and then won 3 in a row to beat the Penguins, a team they never seem to beat in the playoffs. Their second series, they've lost 3 in a row, and put themselves in a hole that is nearly impossible to climb out of. Under this logic, taking into account the Rangers improvement in the second odd series, and translating that to the even series and those trends, the Rangers were bound to put themselves in an even bigger hole in the second series that they'd eventually overcome.

Maybe that rationale didn't make sense. It does to me. I'm hoping its the latter of the two choices.

Win tonight. Forget the series. Just focus on tonight. Live to fight another die.

Move your feet, get the puck out of the defensive zone when you can, play fast and don't give up.

Go get em and let's have some fun in LA tonight!!!
