GOD. DAMMIT. The Great Muppet Caper AND the Muppet Movie. I am not happy about this Disney. I might have to cave, but I'm going to hold out for now.

@Randy Butternubs just sent out an application for Solar Turbines just for laughs, let's see if I get a positive response. I was mostly submitting the application to get my name in the system for when I apply for them in about a year, but we'll see if that goes anywhere.

I just had an off-site training get cancelled 2 hours in because of a sewage leak from the ceiling. I get basically a free day off because of it, so I'm in a very good mood now

I'm not sure what you all are referring to with Hollywood gunfights...But...I find Hollywood gives WAY too much accuracy to those pulling triggers.
The vast majority of people in actual gunfights will hit approximately zero targets. Highly trained individuals will be at best 50% accuracy.

Almost everything I would want to watch on Disney+ is because they bought Fox.
I mean, Gravity Falls is the exception that proves the rule in many ways...but I have that on BluRay so meh. Fix The Simpsons and maybe it'll be third in line for when I cancel other streaming services. HBO has only been next in line for about 3 years at this point.
I just don't have the nostalgia for Disney most people do. I love the parks, but that's not an argument to buy a streaming service. I saw and loved the Disney movies that came out in my childhood, but they always charged more than my parents were willing/able to pay for tapes and the Disney Channel didn't go basic cable until it was too late for me to care, so Disney was only a tiny part of my childhood. I'm cool leaving my 5 year-old memories of Talespin being the greatest anything ever as fond memories. The Simpsons...now that's something I'm gonna want to watch again.

I don't and I am happy af. I get it, Disney brings happiness with some of their movies but it's not for everyone with their types of movies. People apparently have a hard time accepting that different isn't bad and that you should like what's immensely popular and if you don't something is wrong with you.
But man, I hate this whole "oh you don't like this stuff? man you must be so miserable!" it's like having different tastes and opinions means you're suicidal?
I got the 7 day trial of Disney+
- The UI is absolute trash, watchlist that doesn't show you what you last watched, when you do go into a show you were watching and press play, it starts again from the first f***ing episode, that much money and you couldn't invest in a better UI? Seriously?
- Amazon's is also that bad, so yeah.
- Netflix's UI is the cream of the crop for now, Hbo Max is doing something different, can't wait for that.
- Disney+'s catalog is fine if you're a parent with a kid and like those child movies as an adult, but there are a lot that are boosted by the Fox purchase, which is great if you're an adult and you don't watch those hideous live action money grab movies.
- I'm mostly being a dick about Mandalorian, it's about on par with the rest of the Star Wars, they'll likely tease the shit out of you with something cool and then mail it in and people will jerk off to the nostalgia of it all and just being able to see a Star Wars live action fix on a weekly basis is porn for a lot of people. Not a fan of the weekly release of the show, if you're going down that path, meh...I'm at 90% cancel on day 6.
- I wonder when the rest of the stuff Disney bought, will show up on Disney+, because for now, while there's a lot of great stuff, I am not really into the Marvel shows that will be coming out at all, but it'd be interesting to see if they do some other genres.
- This will 100% bother Ogre and I await a response, to which I will say, I am happy you like it, but I am not impressed with the UI and the catalog so far but I do love to be able to see Gargoyles and the Home Alone movies during the holidays. So there's that. I also eagerly await being 100% wrong about Mandalorian, I want them to make me wrong. Because the movies with JJ and Rhian are just pure shit. JJ is going to pander so hard in the next one which will make the previous two an even bigger mess...just yeah, end of that will be the best and it kills me to say this, but Feige, even with his continuity and continuous "explain loopholes to death after movies are out" stuff, will probably do a better job with Star Wars than JJ has.
