Right, they aren’t playing, but yet seems to blame them and think it’s all there fault for struggling…are they the ones who make the plays on the ice? Or make the mistakes And clearly the team isn’t doing well this year but everyone doesn’t seem to understand how young they are and how inexperienced and have no veteran top talent end talent like every other team in the league…when that happens, rebuilds take longer then just 1 1/2 years…everyone wants our top 16 and 17 year old guys to up against the top players in the league who are 19 and 20, obviously there will be struggle when that happens…people who actually played the game would know and understand

Great 1st. Loved the physicality. Need to pick your spots well because they seem intent on calling lots today. Was awesome to see the energy Luecke brought. The stretch pass on Doucette's goal was a beauty

Maybe you're new here but no one expected this team to be good... but people didn't expect them to be this bad. Maybe go read the past threads or don't. Nothing ur saying is wrong but Letang and the coaching staff deserve blame too. Letang has been awful with the lines and in game management.

Yes they deserve some of the blame, but not all of it…yes his game management hasn’t been good but even a new coaching staff comes in, it’s not gonna change the results at the end of the year with how young the team is

HUGE goal by O'Brien his 1st in the league!! What a pass by Brown who's having a whale of a game.

Team is FINALLY showing some spirit. Fischer takes on their toughest guy who's been taking jabs at our guys all game. Love it.

NEED to close this out.

His systems his pp and pk and D zone style of play etc. You think players can just play how they want??? Cant look what happened to Johnston look at karimov. Anyway must not understand what coaches do. Team is way worse then should be and that's on Letang /jefferies.

The systems and style of play doesn’t work when you don’t have top end skill and experience on the ice to execute those systems when they are going up against team who do have those top end skill and experience…you say the team is way worse then it should be, but really, on paper who should be better then?

London - No (11 NHL Prospects)
Windsor - No (3 NHL Prospects plus 1st overall pick)
Erie - No (3 NHL Prospects and 2 top 15 NHL picks this coming year)
Kitchener - No (5 NHL Prospects)
Flint - No (5 NHL Prospects)
Soo - No (4 NHL Prospects)
Saginaw - No (4 NHL Prospects and Top 5 NHL draft pick this coming year)
Owen Sound - Yes
Guelph - No (3 NHL Prospects)

Us (1 NHL Prospect)

Don’t see how much better we should be this year when you really look at the teams and there rosters…

Letang had the most high end prospects in 2022 and did diddly squat with it... same with team Canada at the world jrs.

Mem cup bound!!

God it's been way to few & far between watching this team win. Great effort top to bottom & for the entire 60 minutes. This uptick in physical play has been awesome to see. FLT & OS are always 2 teams who pride themselves in being tough, physical & Sarnia really put it on both physically.

Brown-Beamish-Filak have been sensational together. THIS is the Brown I thought we had out of camp. He was dominant tonight. Unreal feed to O'Brien for his huge, 1st goal. JJ-Hall have some good chemistry going. They are winning all the battles, hitting anything that moves. fun to watch & Luecke filled in very well. Arguably his best OHL game & he got his 1st pt!

L2 has looked better these 2 games, but still nowhere near the level all 3 were playing before being formed. 17-19 looked good together. Unfortunate they barely played. So frustrating, but nice to see them score what ended up as the GWG.

Dominant night from Young-Fischer. 1G/2A, +5 & a fight win. They really looked like they wouldn't be denied tonight. Loving 72-6 2nd pair. Bodin left hurt so hope he's alright. Surzycia as he is most nights rock solid.

PK was awesome going 6/6. Some huge blocks & puck battles won, although vs a unit that looked as poor as ours haha.

Gotta carry it into SSM. Win that & you feel good about yourself. Lose it & this relief of finally winning goes out the window esp with KIT LDN after that.

Well we get the W against a weak team without there all star starting goalie. On to the next losing streak lol. I wonder how much credit Letang is going to try and take from this W to try and save his A$$.

Definitely... only thing that will get OS back in the game are penalties... First game I've seen Buzz dominate in awhile....
was at the game, I wouldn't say they dominated the game. They took alot of penalties had a boat load of bad turnovers as well. played an equally bad team and surzycia made big saves. They did enough to win over a bad team without there #1 goalie. they would've lost that game against pretty much every other team that has some scoring threats. Sting have alot of bad habits to clean up, turnovers , discipline etc. Nice to get the win but let's not get too excited here lol

What you are saying isn't wrong, but the issue has been the stuff Letang can control that I think most of us has been frustrated with.

His lineup decisions have left a lot to be desired. His constant line shuffling/juggling created so many issues for chemistry/cohesion. Even when he found lines that worked (Brown-Wainwright-Karimov) he changed them almost immediately.

Constantly putting Kostuch & Karimov on line 4 was idiotic. Even with Johnston, Kostuch, DI Iorio out he had Karimov on line 4 barely playing. On a team that was dying for goals, creativity. Even tonight having 17/19 as L4 behind 3 grinders makes zero sense. Especially in a rebuilding season. Karimov in particular needs reps, game time to learn what he can & cant do. playing 7 minutes a night isn't good for anyone.

Having Bodin on the PP was mind numbing & he took him off it eventually only to put him back on it.. Now it's Omeri, a guy they were sending down a month ago playing PP2 over Karimov. His timeout usages have been really underwhelming. His timing for pulling the goalie is dreadful & that's not even us, other fans have come on here puzzled at it..

The PP has made 0 adjustments. Now if you wanna blame Jeffrey fine, but Letang is the HC. he can tell him to fix stuff, or adjust certain things. Same goes for the PK that was killing them over this stretch.

Not playing Karimov, Kostuch, Brown, Bridgwater, Barr in OT as dumb & they've been to OT quite a lot & they haven't been good at it!

Why did it take him until 3 games ago to start using the tablets & be super communicative on the bench? It's looks to have made a difference & he should've started doing it weeks ago.

This team isn't good. I don't think ranking them 6th/7th means any of us thought they'd be legitimately good, as much as it was thinking others weren't that good & so far its shown! FLT has been very underwhelming. GUE has been a disaster. OS is in a full on tear down. SSM is rebuilding & will be selling off In the coming weeks.

I feel his decisions have cost them a decent amount of points which would have them sitting 6th & pretty comfortably in a playoff spot.

I see what your point is & I don't even fully disagree. But those are my thoughts.

Think what I was trying to say is a good coach can make adjustments. Prior to game and during game. I dont see it ans neither does Letang.

I agree with all his in game lineup issues etc. I dont think anyone can say he is a good game manager. But yet he is still here behind bench getting points from some weaker teams.

Great game from the Sting tonight. OS may not be the cream of the crop in the OHL but it was a game Sarnia needed to get. From the opening puck drop they were really engaged. Some physical shifts from the Franceschetti-Hall-Luecke line set the tone for this game.

Top line was excellent once again. None of them are afraid to go to the dirty areas of the ice. They're constantly winning battles along the boards and for loose pucks. That really showed on a couple of the goals. Beamish wins a battle off the draw on the fourth goal and then Beamish and Brown did good work on the fifth goal to free up the puck for Young.

Speaking of Young, I felt he had a really strong game. He was picking better times to jump into the play. He had a great rush to set up the Karimov goal and walked in for a good scoring chance in the first. It has to feel good to get 2 assists against the team that drafted him.

Di Iorio had a nice return game. He made great passes all night. Set up the Karimov goal, sprung Filak for a good chance early on, and started a nice three-way passing play with Edwards and Wainwright that nearly lead to a PP goal. I would like for Letang to find a consistent linemate him and Karimov. Those two controlled the majority of the play when they were on the ice.

Awesome to see O'Brien get his first career OHL goal. It was a great read to jump down from the point. He's been really steady since coming in. I've rarely seen him out of position defensively. PK goes 6/6 and is 10/11 since Fischer and Young came back into the lineup. Having both those guys in the lineup makes such a difference for this team. Another big one on Sunday in the Soo. Taking 5/6 points this weekend would be a massive confidence boost for the Sting

Letang has never been good, look how stacked the team was two years ago, and we got beat by a young London knights team, Hunter out coached Letang all series. Letang was brutal at world juniors. And he was sub par in Owen sound. Haley and Jeffrey’s have no experience. This team shouldn’t be good but should definitely not be worse than last year and right now they are and that’s because Letang and staff can’t develope junior hockey players. And yes game management is bad aswell, team needs a change at Christmas or summer.

Johnston back to back scratches?? Trying to move him, not sure why Moses was scratched either had good game last game and that line was motoring with him.
Think DS looking to move few vets to make room in his cupboards for picks maybe a RW when need in few years. At this point playoffs are off the table for Buzz. So why would he move some guys.
Still fingers crossed Kostuch back in new year.
