If he became a UFA today, how many GMs would give him even a league minimum offer? Maybe a couple, but I doubt any team wants the headache that he is essentially guaranteed to be.

Man is there any team in worse shape long term than the Sharks? How do they even start to get out from under those bad contracts. Wilson had a heck of a run but there’s some painful years ahead. Kane was probably their best player and there were issues with him even before this latest issue.
