You know the drill. Age cutoff under 25, NHL games played cutoff 40. Poll will close after 2 days unless the results are incredibly lopsided. Last year's rankings will be in parentheses.

This will be the final poll, even if there is another trade. After #20 @The Nemesis and I have something new planned.

1. Macklin Celebrini ~95% (NR)
2. Will Smith ~90% (#1)
3. Sam Dickinson ~95% (NR)
4. Quentin Musty ~49% (#3)
5. Shakir Mukhamadullin ~77% (#4)
6. Igor Chernyshov ~39% (NR)
7. Filip Bystedt ~34% (#5)
8. David Edstrom ~54% (NR)
9. Kasper Halttunen ~69% (#11)
10. Daniil Gushchin ~23% (#8)
11. Collin Graf ~37% (NR)
12. Luca Cagnoni ~38% (#12)
13. Eric Pohlkamp ~45% (NR)
14. Leo Sahlin Wallenius ~52% (NR)
15. Ethan Cardwell ~52% (NR)
16. Jack Thompson (RO) ~60% (NR)
17. Jake Furlong ~25% (NR)
18. Cam Lund ~27% (#9)
19. Mattias Havelid ~33% (NR)

I would put him 3rd just ahead of BDE. I believe his abilities are undeniable and can be that guy the Sharks have lacked for decades (in terms of ability and consistency).

I didn’t think we’d need to, and wouldn’t have been happy about it, but I’d have traded Musty for him. Wouldn’t have traded BDE. He’s third or fourth IMO. I think it’s a coin flip that he ends up our best goalie ever.

It’s a proper gamble, but it was such a worthwhile one to take.

I think all these suggestions are half-assing it, we should just start over with #1
I don’t think we need to do that. I haven’t seen anyone suggest that he is higher than Celebrini or Smith. So, I think we should do a poll: Better prospect, Dickinson or Askarov? If he wins, he’s #3. If not, next poll… Better Prospect, Musty or Askarov. Repeat until we find an answer.

I wouldn't do it, but I think there's an argument that you could put Askarov as high as #2. He has both the pedigree (#11 pick) and two seasons of development (and pretty strong play at that) in the AHL, whereas Smith is still more of a question mark when playing against professionals.

I think we should restart with "Sharks's young players". So anyone under 25, regardless of games played, and rank them.

Oh we don't need to anymore. Ty "The Elderly Prospect" Emberson is not here to throw a wrench into the mix anymore.
Your insidious insinuations have been noted. When the day comes, when Askarov is on the line and you are begging to save him from his fate, you'll not find an ally in me, no sir!

With this kind of thinking, would of made connor mcdavid a prospect still in your mind after 5 100 point seasons and 7 straight point per game seasons.
