The issue with both of them is a complete inability to stay healthy. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them breaks their leg getting out of bed today.

There really isn’t much argument to support that.

If you guys actually want to trade Monty I’m sure there would be more than a few teams interested but Toronto probably isn’t one of them and definitely not the team that would give you the best value.

I guess I'm trolling. Montembeault isn't that special actually. Just something to look into and better than your starters. He can't follow the play through traffic like a Price could.

Nobody has ever said Montembault is comparable to Price lol. Monty is solid but weak mentally and breaks down easily imo. He'd give some great performances on a strong team that has his back.

Nobody has ever said Montembault is comparable to Price lol. Monty is solid but weak mentally and breaks down easily imo. He'd give some great performances on a strong team that has his back.

He is comparable to Price because he is got the starter job after him.

I will happily continue on with the 2 guys with better numbers this season and better career stats.
Again Stolarz and Woll are both top 5 in save% and GAA this year. No one would trade one of them for a more expensive guy with worse numbers

You are acting as if Montembeault has shown something in the past when that is not the case at all. He hasn't even played in a single playoff game, yet somehow he is supposed to be the "sure thing"?

If Montembeault was an experienced and successful goalie with a wealth of playoff experience you might have a point, but so far all he has shown is that he can be quite decent on a bad team, while having no experience handling the pressure of backstopping a good team (in general or in the playoffs). Under such circumstances, yes, it is much better for Toronto to run the two goalies who seem to be working well so far, and look to improve the team in areas that are not working as well.

It's not like I'm trying to sell you a bridge. Monty plays the pk on his toews trying to look over players, a good goalie like Price is crouched in and looks through pads.
