Sam is our Vin Scully. It seems like every year or two he gets inducted into a new HOF because of his longevity.

Would love to see one more championship while he's still doing games. He's almost 80!

I can definitely live with the mistakes he makes. He's just a great ambassador of Rangers hockey. And he's tremendously nice. I've met him a handful of times when the Rangers have come down to Dallas. He always takes the time to talk shop.

That said, with this being his 40th anniversary, I can see this season being his last.
