Embarrassing loss... no discipline, no desire, no pride, no effort...no nuttin!

Typical Spirit hockey, lets play all offence, ( even when short players ) run and gun, leave odd man rushes, and heaven forbid play anything that resembles defense. Yes, the players, but its time to call out the coaching staff and their inability to get this team to play a close to the vest, off the puck game.
They aren't going to switch the style short bench or not. That's never been how they have or will operate. Just upset they seemed to mail it in last night.

And with a 7-6 win over Guelph last night, the mailman might have been in the neighborhood as well!
Well, I'm sure Oke is thrilled with being left on his own so often... ranked #19 out of 25 goaltenders with a 3.56 GAA. But exciting offensive hockey is what it's all about... on come on, give me a smiley face. :DD

Lazary's job is to develop players and he has. And he's been the most successful coach for Saginaw by a mile. You have never liked him, even when we were winning most of our games. I remember us playing 15+ years of more "traditional" hockey. Greg Gilbert era? What a pain to watch that was. Not just the style but it was the fact that they we were NEVER a threat to do anything.

I don't doubt that the goalies that have played here in the Lazary era don't get frustrated with the grade A chances they face on the regular. It sucks for them. I also don't think you change overall philosophies because there might be some pain some nights.

To further the point about changing up style, at 4:45 of this video, Laz talks about how he switched up the formation to defend as Swoopster is asking for.

Geez, he's listed as the smallest player on the roster at 5"9" 160LBS. He would have to add a charging call added to the boarding call to make the contact effective!

Well, the heart of a lion in a small package. They are either being fed raw meat before games or
are nodding off during anger management class.

The break can't come soon enough.

To put it into perspective over their last 10 games they have:

-lost 10 man games to suspension. Average number of games between suspensions is 1
-lost 16 man games to injury, illness, or other.
-been without 3 or more players in 5 games

All of that means you going to lose games. When you aren't super deep to begin with, you're going to lose most of those games and most of them won't be close. They flat out just needs their players on the ice. Hard reset here. Treat the first game back as a new game 1. Go from there.

Well we were going to have a near full line up again but Parekh might be called into action if Schaefer is out long term. Jones should have a suspension coming too sooooo thin blue line again. Yay.

If Hockey Canada wants to double down on roster politics based on things like this, then by all means let us keep Zayne.
Doubling down on bad roster decisions is Team Canada's specialty. Just look at them bringing Sennecke to camp, him being one of the best players on the ice, and them still cutting him to not admit they were wrong initially.

NHL teams/GMs may have had a lot to say about a choice between Senneke and draft eligible Martone. Is there a big difference though?
Parekh seems a legitimate cut. Makenna but not Misa, I do not get.

Personally I don’t think there is a big difference between martone and sennecke. Same birth year too but martone has more points.

Martone can play that gritty game though. That’s the big thing that gives him an edge over a guy like sennecke
