Safety Razors - best blades

I've been using a safety razor for a few years now (I have a Merkur) and I've been bouncing between different blade brands, and I was wondering if anyone here has a preferred brand?

My favourite brand so far is Feather, but they are on the more expensive end of the spectrum for blades. Also, if you're not careful, you can peel the skin off your face with these because they are so sharp.

I'm currently using some Wilkinson ones, and they are pretty good.

I've tried Astra, and they were ok. Definitely cheap, and they don't last nearly as long as Feathers or Wilkinsons, but they are alright. I can actually feel a difference between Astras and Wilkinsons or Feathers. It's almost like the steel in Astra blades is more flexible. That's how it feels to me.

I've used Markur blades too and they are complete garbage. Just the worst. They feel like they are ripping the hairs out of my face rather than shaving them. Just awful. I'm never using a Merkur blade again.


Any brands that I should try?

I use Astra but pretty much change the blade every other use. I got 500 for $5 last Black Friday and still have quite a bit left. It's gettin down there tho so I might have to check out feathers or wilkinsons

Was told Astra's were very good so bought like 100, but I hate them as they dull too fast. The Wilkinsons were better for sure.
