Wild are good, but I hope that our boys will show that they are not worse, especially since Tage is returning.

Pretty important game to find a way to win in, at this point in the season.

High quality opponent, need to keep the momentum going.
I really like to watch Kiprisov play. One of the best 5 players in the league imho.

Get JJ going again with Tage

UPL continue to out goalie the opposition

How about a big Cozy goal ?

Kulich continued development at Center

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Seems like Kulich may play on McLeod's wing which, if given the choice between the two on who centers that line, I think I'd go with McLeod.

Curious how they respond after the Cali road trip and then Ruff laying into them at practice yesterday. Fairburn spoke about it with KB yesterday, they picked it up after the coach stopped everything and lit them up.
Ruff may be the best thing that happened this offseason. He knows he needs to keep this young team humble. It's very easy for an inexperienced team to start feeling themselves a bit too much after an emotional road trip.

A new lineup has entered the chat -

Wow. Love this!

I wish everyone were healthy. Over the summer I wanted Greenway on the 4th line.

Malenstyn - McLeod - Greenway !!

****

Just need Bryson out of the lineup.

(I'm a Bryson fan. I wish he deserved to be in the lineup)

This is a sneaky big game.

They've got a little run going, and an opportunity at home to take the game up a notch and beat a good team. A good outing tonight really lifts the optimism.

But it's a good team they're facing. And this is where they usually stub their toe. The last couple years, anytime they've had a chance to put themself in a good position and had a little optimism/pressure, they blow it.

We're going to learn something about this team tonight. Let's go boys!

Wild fan, and Sabre watcher since Gilbert Perreault days. Wild are a good team this year, but not as good as their record suggests. Improved goaltending and D have made them tough to win against. Even Bogo is playing well, but he is only being asked to play 3rd pair minutes. With Zuccarello out, it's thrown our forward lines and PP out of alignment. The 1st line can be deadly if you give them room. Kaprizov and Boldy are quite the talents, and JEE does all the dirty work, especially screens in front. We lost 4-1 to WPG last game , but could've easily won. Hit a a lot of iron, and Helle was really good. Had 44 SOG, or something like that. Our Achilles heel is special teams.

Looking forward to seeing how the team looks. From afar, still inconsistent, but I am a believer in Zucker (if he stays healthy)as a depth player, and Cozens. The latter has been asked to do a lot early on in his career, and he might be getting fatigued, defeated, or something? Not sure if he needs to heal up, get a kick in the pants, or a nice massage. McLeod and Greenway should make you tougher to play against, but I still think you guys could use some more toughness, both up front and on the D, especially.

My only gripe is McLeod on the 4th line over Krebs. Im assuming McLeod will still stack a decent amount of mins depending on how the game goes.
I think they can get more O from that line with Mcleod centering it. They may see more ice time than the Kulich line.

Return from the west coast always results in a bad game for us. Although we have an extra day of rest so maybe theres hope

Boldy is one of my favorite non-Sabres. It was cool to see how good he was right from day 1. Seems like a good kid.

He and Kaprizov are a scary tandem.

I agree about the toughness, more so on D than the F's though. I generally like our grit up front.

Again, if anyone is going to the game and has an extra Sabres gravy boat I will trade you a brand new in the box ceramic Red Wings Gravy Boat.
