10pm was too late, I fell asleep during the first period, missed the goal against completely but was awake for half the second and third and then couldn't get back to sleep. Those late games are wild for my sleeping patterns, 8pm is much more manageable.

I couldnt imagine following a team on the Westcoast living on the Eastcoast. Also living on the Westcoast would be awesome for sports since most Sabres games would start at 4pm right after work and you would be in bed by 8pm to be up for 5am.

Sharks arent good, but this is a 3 in 4 + a b2b in less than 24 hours + weird west coast times. Need a gutsy win even if it isn't pretty. Not feeling good about Reimer in net. Hopefully, that's a bit more motivation for the team to play their asses off.

Less than 24h between games plus travel? Not ideal. Why can't they do better scheduling?
That is fairly standard for east coast teams making a swing through CA. Same for western Canada - 3 games in 4 nights in EDM, CAL, VAN.

Check the schedules for teams west of the Mississippi, and realize that teams like the Sabres have it very easy in comparison.

The Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Nabikov, Boyle, Heatley, Blake, Burns, Vlasic, etc. Sharks teams have to be the biggest playoff disappointments this century.

Buffalo has hung some banners for guys who were pretty ho-hum in the playoffs too. It's a similar vibe to the '70's and early '80's Sabres honestly.

Curious if there are any roster substitutions today, like say, the team's top scorer. :)

Will be fun to see Reimer get revenge on one of his 7 teams he played for. Hopefully it gives him a little extra FU in his game tonight.

Depending on the month is either 4PM or 5PM starts just because everyone else does something archaic like changing their clocks twice a year.

Don't get me wrong. Big Joe is a guaranteed first-ballot HoF nominee and richly deserves having his jersey retired by the Sharks.

Regardless, a lone Cup Final for the Thornton era Sharks is a huge disappointment

No one wants back to backs with any travel in less than 24 hours…but…the team is young and they should be feeling about as good about themselves as they have with his group right now. To win 3 out of 4 without your 1C…and with your starting goalie missing the first half of that. They’ve overcome a lot more adversity than playing two bad teams in 24 hours.

I have found living in mountain time to be pretty much perfect. Most Sabres games start at 5-5:30 for me but if they play west coast the latest start is 8-8:30.
