It takes a lot for me to actually feel bad for the fans of another franchise. I feel bad for Buffalo fans; probably the only fans in the league.

They're rabid hockey fans that had proud teams up until like a decade(?) ago, and they've just gotten completely trashed by ownership and management since. Just a bunch of guys wearing the same colours, skating around and losing hockey games.

I guess it's just me but Gauthier, much like Howden does absolutely nothing for me

Put him on the Bruins and he'll be every bit as good as the other players IMO.
This is a big example on why I was against blowing it up.
These types of players are best when they just join the mix in a competitive environment.
Just blowing up a team, inserting x-amount of blue chippers and expecting 19 kids to miraculously turn around a franchise is nothing short of insanity..

I mean even with the Sabres it feels like they just need the right coach, and it would get going. I mean everyone thought they would atleast compete for a playoff spot this season. The have good pieces there. It just seems like no one is working together.

Calgary is having the same situation in Canada right now.
