I agree to a point. I think the secondary goal was to be competitive and make the playoffs (be better than last season). I think that’s what the FO was expecting.

Absolutely, and the play has not been up to par so far. But so much of it has been on the vets, and not the youngsters stepping up. Even with the goalies, it was panic at first but now both Igor and Sasha are good. Just sad that this season is so short, that it might not be enough if we get our engines going now this week with Chytil, Kakko (and hopefully Panarin) back. Such a bad start to our season.

But we'll see.
