Annonymous pro scout

"People don’t know how good he is because he wasn’t around to scrutinize all year,” said the scout. “I think that’s a huge advantage for him. The team that gets him is going to be incredibly surprised just how good he is. I hear things like he would have gone third in last year’s draft. Are you kidding?

"No disrespect to (2015 No. 2 pick Jack) Eichel, but he couldn’t carry Matthews’ skates to the rink. His impact in the NHL is going to be special.”

This guy knew something other people didn't.

wasnt that Marc Crawford that said that? the guy who coached Matthews in Switzerland?

"Owen Power, the No. 1 pick in the 2021 Draft, will make his NHL debut on Tuesday when the Buffalo Sabres visit the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 19-year-old defenseman was born in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga, Ontario, and said he expects to have a large group of family and friends in attendance."

3 goals?
Just another game at Scotiabank Arena, lol.

Sabres would usually feel like a trap game, but it doesn't. Hard to imagine a let down on this one going as they're going. Good luck to Powers, he's a beauty, just you know.. not for this first one.

@fahad203 Comparison is usually a not quite as good Hedman. Which is still top pairing probably #1 D, damn good. Probably more offensive upside then Hedman, we'll see if the defensive game comes to match, lots of time for that. If his career arc goes right you can see him in the Norris convorastion in 5 years. Darned shame the World Juniors got cut short, he was going nuts. Top notch.

It looks like Dahlin is turning it around a bit. Man how they dude went from a sure fire star to forgotten prospect

Powers should be 4 years before he gets into NHL groove. That could be a deadly duo

Interested in whether Keefe remembers the last game and goes heavy, or does his usual turn the other cheek routine

Another game where I feel Keefe is going to continue some line experimentation. My predictions:

- I think Holl will come out for Lily and Keefe will go back to the dominant Gio-Lily pair. Muzz-Brodie and Boosh-Reilly will stay.
- For the forward L1 will stay as is obviously. L2 is starting to play very well so I suspect that stays but I think L3 and L4 are going to see some change. Maybe Blackwell and Kampf trade places?
So Nylander-Blackwell-Engvall
Simmonds-Kampf-Spezza
Replace Simmonds/Spezza with Kase once he’s back.
Coach Keefe bout his money sire  And so is WE(!) Invest on us, hard. :paper: :money: 💵 :check: :checks: :sire:

I have no problem Kallgren playing, but Campbell does need to get a lot more games in before the playoffs, it’s either him or bust in the first round.

Muzzin already dealing with something else? Just get rid of him already, he’s injured more than he actually plays.

Good benchmark game for Lily imo, I want to see what he can do in heavy offensive minutes with the top line.
He was great last time with Rielly but the goaltending was horrendous. goalies let in something like 5 GA/60 more than expected and I believe the SV% was under .800 despite them dominating possession.

They were also together when the Matthews line started going crazy offensively and if they try to keep Rielly paired with that group he is a much better option to get the put to those guys than Boosh.
