The Sharks and Rangers have agreed on a deal for draft picks. The deal will be completed once Ryane Clowe agrees to move. #TRADETRACKER

Let's keep this in it's own thread instead of the mega Trade Deadline thread.

Mod Edit:

Conditions of the additional 2nd round pick:

#NYR The 2014 conditional pick going back to SJ is a second-rounder if Clowe re-signs OR NYR win two rounds of playoffs. Otherwise a fifth

I always thought the NHL entry draft was overrated anyways.

He needs to just be Prust but start scoring goals again. Thats what I would do

I don't know much about Clowe at all. Is he a Prust like player?

He is a tough, slow forward who used to chip in offensively. Where that went this season I have no idea. 2 years ago everyone was talking about how they'd kill to have him.

Fun fact; Clowe is apparently from Fermeuse, Newfoundland, which has a population of under 300.

Clowe is a beast when he is on his game. And he was playing well the past few games.

If he comes to play and we resign him it's a great deal.

imo, this is alot to pay for

a guy having a down year

on his way to 31

and who may bolt for vancouver in the summer....

i mean does this guy help us down the road even a little bit and thats assuming he even resigns?

:shakehead

I'm wary of giving up picks, but I love Clowe. He's freakin' awesome, and he's exacly what this team needs. A mix of toughness, skill, and size. When was the last time we had a Ryane Clowe-like player?

As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, it's SJ's 2nd, FLA's 3rd and conditional 2nd (on re-signing or winning two playoff series). If not, it becomes 5th.
