He went in awkward into the boards. No foul play. injured his leg and had to be helped off the ice.

Without having seen it, 100% sounds like hip surgery to me. 36 month recovery time.

Reaves on the LTIR provides 1.35 mill in cap space as well.. enough for a league min deal to come up plus an addition 500K for a bigger name player.

If Parise returns. as some projections apparently have him returning -- around the deadline -- he's about 3 months away from turning 40.

On the other hand, Nick Seeler is 30 and a defenceman, and large and gritty and makes league minimum I think.

Jake Middleton makes just under 3M, and the Wild don't look like they're going anywhere.

Point is, Parise is a forward, almost 40, and not what we need.
