How would he make the tournament team? That's a joke. I assume. McLeod will score a dozen goals with probably more ice time than he got in Edmonton. If he scores 15+15, it is a great trade. He's been brutal on faceoffs at 44%. Only the fan boys at the Buffalo News would call him good at faceoffs. He was 50.8% last year, so mostly little above average. Below average previously.

McLeod is a depth piece on a cheap contract this year. The mistake was not using the cap room on more players. You have two more years of RFA control. A four-year deal will easily double his cost.

Really impressed so far. If the Sabres can give him 3-4 years at 3M I wouldn't balk at that at all. 30 point two way center with speed? He's what Daniel Catenacci was supposed to be all those years ago!
