in a lot of cases they HAVE to be (if they want to keep their job).
This is so much worse than some of the head shots that have got 3-5 games this year. Those hits from guys like Reaves and Jeannot were more so reckless than malicious. This is the opposite. He's not making a hockey play whatsoever.

He’s got a pretty long and recent suspension history. NHL has an opportunity here to really throw the book at him and send a message.

I'm glad the Sens are trying to run up the score. I hope they get a late PP and put the 1st unit out as a FU to Hynes and the Wild.
not saying a play like that doesn't deserve it but suspensions in general have been light or non existent. scale-wise this deserves double the average 3 game

most suspension are hockey plays.
this wasn't a hockey play and premeditated. not to even mention he targets the head AND has an extensive history of doing dirty shit.
how is all that just a 5 or 7.
they are gonna want to make an example out of him, and it's not even about that since the play itself was dirty enough to be double digit.

Just based on their history and no major injury. Maybe they'll surprise me.
If Stutzle went off on a stretcher, then all bets are off. Probably not the "right" way to go about it, but is what it is.

Hartman is a Grade "A" POS and deserve a big suspension, this is worse than when he tried to knock out Perfetti's teeth "accidentally" on a face-off!
